How to brand your gallery: event logo vs watermark

Understand the difference between the MyRun event logo (gallery branding) and the watermark (overlaid on photos), and set both.

Two separate things brand your gallery, and they're configured in different places.

The difference

  • The event logo is shown at the top of your hosted gallery page (the MyRun share link), in place of the MyRun logo. Pure branding: it never touches the photos.
  • The watermark is overlaid on the photos: protection plus branding on every displayed image.

Steps

  1. Set the event logo when creating the event, or later via the event page's Edit button (PNG/JPEG, max 1 MB).
  2. Design the watermark under the event's Watermark area (see How to create a watermark).
  3. Open your public gallery and check both: your logo at the top, the watermark on the photos.

Good to know

  • As soon as an event has a logo, it replaces the MyRun logo at the top of the hosted gallery page. Without a logo, the MyRun logo is shown there. The small "Powered by MyRun" line at the bottom of the gallery stays in both cases.
  • The embedded widget has no logo header of its own: on your website, your site's branding surrounds the gallery. The watermark applies wherever the photos are shown.
  • You can use the same artwork for both, but watermarks usually work better as a semi-transparent PNG.
