Create a MyRun event, pick the right event type for recognition (Running, Cycling, Motorsport, Other) and set the start date and logo.
An event is the top-level container for one competition: its albums, photos, privacy, watermarks and prices all live inside it.
Steps
- In the app sidebar, open Events and click New Event.
- Enter the Event Name (for example Paris Marathon 2026).
- Pick the Event Type: Running, Cycling, Motorsport or Other. Choose carefully: the type selects the AI recognition model and cannot be changed after creation.
- Pick the Start Date.
- Optionally upload an Event Logo (PNG/JPEG, max 1 MB): it's shown on your public gallery.
- Save. You land on the new event's page, ready to add albums.
Which event type should I pick?
- Running: marathons, trail and road races, bib numbers worn on the chest.
- Cycling: road and gravel races, bib numbers on the jersey or bike.
- Motorsport: motocross, enduro, karting, numbers on riders and machines.
- Other: corporate events, festivals, gatherings. Face search and the timeline still work.
