How to make an event private

Restrict a MyRun gallery to registered participants with the Private toggle, and switch it back to public anytime.

A private event shows a login screen instead of the open gallery: only people who can prove they participated get in.

Steps

  1. Open your event and click Privacy.
  2. Turn on the Private toggle (top right of the Privacy Settings page).
  3. Decide how participants will log in: import a credentials CSV (bib + date of birth, email, or access codes) or enable Login with selfie. See the dedicated guides for each.
  4. Share the gallery as usual: visitors now see the login form first.

Good to know

  • Making the event private automatically marks its albums as private too.
  • Turning privacy off is the same toggle: your imported credentials stay stored, so you can re-enable privacy later without re-importing.
  • Privacy applies to the shareable link and the embedded widget alike.
