What each MyRun recognition type does - bib number search, selfie search and sponsor visibility - and when to enable which.
MyRun has three independent recognition types. You can enable any combination per album.
The three types
- Bib recognition reads the race numbers visible in each photo. Participants then find their photos by typing their bib number. Works without special 2D codes on the bibs; pair it with a valid BIB list (see the Events guides) for the cleanest results.
- Face recognition indexes faces so participants can find themselves by uploading a selfie, no bib needed. Great for photos where the bib is hidden, and for event types without bibs at all.
- Sponsor recognition (Beta) detects your event's sponsor logos across the photos. It doesn't power a participant search: it produces a visibility report you can show your sponsors.
How to decide
- Races with bibs: enable bib + face together; they complement each other (bib hidden in one shot, face visible in another).
- Corporate events, festivals (event type Other): enable face recognition; bib detection isn't available for this type.
- Events with paying sponsors: add sponsor recognition on your key albums and share the visibility report.
Good to know
- Each enabled type consumes recognition capacity for that album's photos; sponsor recognition is currently included in recognition usage and not billed separately (Beta).
- You can enable a type later: MyRun tags the album's existing photos when you switch it on.
