How to manually tag or untag a photo

Add a bib number or custom tag to a MyRun photo by hand, optionally marking where it is, and remove wrong tags.

Automatic detection catches most bibs, but a muddy or folded number can slip through. Manual tags fix that: they always count and carry the highest confidence.

Add a tag

  1. Open the event, then the album, and click the photo to open it full screen.
  2. In the bar at the bottom, type the bib number (or any custom tag) into "Add a tag...".
  3. Optionally click the crosshair icon first, then click the spot on the photo where the number is: the tag is stored with that location (the field switches to "Tag for selected location...").
  4. Press Enter or the add button. The tag appears in the photo's tag list immediately.

Remove a wrong tag

  1. In the same photo view, remove the incorrect tag from the tag list next to the input.
  2. For bib-wide cleanup, open the event's Recognition page, BIB tab: the table lists every detected bib with its photo count. Click Edit on a bib to review its photos and remove any photo that doesn't belong.

Good to know

  • Manual tags are treated as certain: they're never filtered out by the confidence threshold, and they don't need to be on the valid BIB list.
  • Tags added or removed here update participant search results right away.
