How to enable selfie login

Let participants unlock a private MyRun gallery by taking a selfie that's matched against the event's photos - no participant list needed.

Selfie login secures an event without any participant list: the visitor takes a selfie, and if their face matches a photo taken at the event, they're in.

Steps

  1. Open the event's Privacy page.
  2. Turn on the Login with selfie toggle. Enabling it also makes the event private automatically.
  3. Optionally open the settings (gear icon) next to the toggle and turn on Restricted access: with it on, a logged-in participant sees only their own matched photos, not the full gallery.
  4. Save. Visitors now see a selfie prompt when opening the gallery.

Good to know

  • Face recognition must be enabled on the event's albums for matching to work: no indexed faces, no matches.
  • Selfie login works alongside a credentials CSV: participants can use whichever method fits them.
  • It's the zero-admin option for private events: nothing to collect, import or distribute.
