How to choose the participant login method

Pick how participants prove who they are in a private MyRun event - bib and date of birth, email, access codes or selfie login.

The login method is defined by the columns of the credentials CSV you import, or by enabling selfie login. Pick the one that matches the data you have.

The options

  1. BIB + Date of Birth: participants enter their bib number and birth date. Two factors, hard to guess: ideal when your start list includes DOBs.
  2. Email only: the registered email address. The simplest option when you have participant emails.
  3. Email + BIB: both together, for extra certainty.
  4. Access code: a private one-off code you hand to each participant.
  5. Login with selfie: no list needed: the participant takes a selfie and is let in when their face matches a photo of the event (see the selfie login guide).

Steps

  1. Open the event's Privacy page.
  2. Click Examples and download the CSV template for your chosen combination.
  3. Fill it in (one row per participant) and import it: the columns you used become the login fields.

Good to know

  • You can combine up to two credential fields.
  • Matching is forgiving: field names are case-insensitive and values are trimmed and lower-cased before comparison.
  • Besides credentials, each row can carry two optional flags: vip and restricted access (see the VIP guide).
