How to upload photos

Upload photos to a MyRun album with drag and drop, credit the photographer, and understand formats, the 30 MB limit and duplicate detection.

Uploads happen inside an album and support large batches: files upload a few at a time in parallel, with live status per file.

Steps

  1. Open your event, then the album, and click Upload Photos.
  2. Optionally fill in the Photographer field to credit the author (previous names are suggested).
  3. Click to select photos or drag and drop them into the dialog: you can add many files at once.
  4. Watch the per-file status (pending, uploading, uploaded, failed, duplicate) and the batch progress bar. Use Retry on any failed file.
  5. Close the dialog when done: photos appear in the gallery as soon as they're processed.

Good to know

  • Formats: JPG, PNG, WebP, AVIF, HEIC, GIF, BMP, TIF. Max 30 MB per file.
  • Duplicates are skipped automatically: MyRun fingerprints each file, so uploading the exact same file twice flags it as duplicate instead of double-counting it.
  • After upload, MyRun generates web-ready sizes (thumbnail, preview, full, download), keeps the EXIF time for the timeline, and queues AI recognition for whichever types are enabled on the album.
  • Uploading and hosting photos consumes hosting capacity; analyzing them consumes recognition capacity (see the Billing & capacity guides).
